High Winds Rip Through Region Causing Power Outages

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the Rochester and Western New York area until 1:00 p.m. today.

Sustained winds will be 25 to 40 mph, with gusts reaching 60 mph.  

The strong winds have caused power outages this morning, primarily in Webster, where more than 3,600 Rochester Gas and Electric customers were without power as of 5:00 a.m.
