October 21-24 has been designated “Fat Talk Free Week”, a campaign raising awareness about the damaging affect negative self-talk can have on people’s personal body image. Organizers are encouraging a focus on healthy diet and lifestyle choices and bringing attention to the impact the “thin ideal” has for our society.
