Global Mural Convention To Be Held Along The Erie Canal

Mural Mania

A convention highlighting murals along the Erie Canal will be held in New York State in 2016.

That according to U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who says the Global Mural Convention will include a wide range of murals and public art.  The convention will be hosted by an organization called "Mural Mania" which helps facilitate the creation of murals along the canal.

Gillibrand says the conference will also help highlight tourism opportunities in the region.

The Erie Canal stretches from Buffalo to Albany and the president of the mural conference says that event will help generate even more enthusiasm about the arts in Western New York.
