Girl Scout Cookie Sales Go Digital

gscnc.org

The Girl Scouts are going digital.

Starting next year, you'll be able to order your Girl Scout cookies on line for the first time.

Mary Jo Brown, a senior vice president with Girl Scouts of Western New York, says this is about giving the girls some 21st century business skills.

"The girl can create her digital platform,” Brown said.  “She'll then be able to manage who she sends the emails out (to) and she can track her sales, also."

Girl Scouts will also be making cookie sales calls in the traditional way. But when they go door-to-door starting in January, they'll also be armed with an app to process their customers' orders.
