A two-million dollar gift from Springwater residents Ann and Carl Meyers will help UR Medicine build a new cancer center in Dansville.
It will be located at Noyes Hospital.
The regional cancer center will be named after the Meyers, and will offer services in Wellsville and Hornell.
It could save long trips for the estimated four-thousand people who drive to Rochester for cancer treatment every year from the Southern Tier.
