A Finger Lakes restaurant has been named the country’s best new restaurant in the USA Today 10Best Reader’s Choice poll.
FLX Table, owned by the husband and wife team of Christopher Bates and Isabel Bogadtke, own the restaurant in Geneva.
Bates told WXXI News earlier this week he believes the attention is not only good for his restaurant, but for the region.
“I think the more attention that we get from national media that comes up here and sees what’s happening up here at the restaurant, but also what’s happening with the wineries, what’s happening with the other restaurants, what’s happening with the cocktail scene and the bar scene here in Geneva and in upstate in general. It’s awesome.”
Other winners in the competition included restaurants in Louisville, Santa Barbara, Minneapolis and Nashville.
