Full Steam Ahead for Train Station

Rochester will soon be breaking ground on a new train station.  Officials say the 26-million needed for the project is now in hand, and construction will begin next year.
State transportation commissioner Joan McDonald says it will mean better service for passengers.
McDonald says ridership is expected to double over the next several years as improvements here and elsewhere are completed.
The Rochester train station should be finished in 2014.
The current station was erected in 1978 as a temporary facility.
Officials say there are a number of problems with it, including the fact it does not comply with the Americans with Disability Act.
