Four Dead in Grape Street Fire in Rochester
Rochester Fire Officials say four children died in an early morning blaze at a duplex on Grape Street in the city.
The names of the victims have not yet been released, but it is believed they range in age from 6 to 15. Several people were able to escape the fire that appears to have started on the first floor of the building Saturday morning around 1:00.
Firefighters worked to put the fire out which then quickly spread to the second floor. There is no word on what caused the fire. Rochester Fire crews and police officers remained on scene through Saturday afternoon.
