The suicide of comedian Robin Williams has sparked discussion about major depression, one of the most common mental disorders affecting Americans.
A former Monroe County Family Court judge went public with his story after successfully battling depression for two years.
Michael Miller, also former chairman of the Monroe County Democratic Committee, finally found the right combination of medications that worked for him. He wants to encourage others who are struggling with the illness, and end the stigma so often associated with mental disorders.
