The National Weather Service says there is a flood warning for several counties including Monroe, Livingston, Genesee, Ontario and Wyoming until 7:45 p.m. Thursday.
The National Weather Service says that many areas already received one to two inches of rain on Thursday. The rain fell in a relatively short period of time, on top of ground that was already saturated by Wednesday's rains.
The Buffalo area was hit even harder, with a number of roads and highways impacted.
There is also a flash flood watch for much of the area which extends into Friday afternoon.
