Part of a popular fall destination for apple picking and hayrides in Victor was destroyed by fire early Friday morning.
Several fire departments were called to the fire at The Apple Farm on Route 444.
Firefighters say a passerby saw the fire and called 911. The orchard, which has about 30,000 fruit trees, was not damaged by the fire. The damage was mainly contained to the retail store. Officials say the fire began in the back of the store.
The owner says he hopes to rebuild. The Apple Farm has been in business for more than 40 years.
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation.
