Family Of Missing RIT Student Asks For Help

The family of a missing RIT student is asking for help from the public in finding 21 year old Max Maisel. The third year professional photographic illustration student was last seen Sunday evening leaving the Perkins Green apartment complex.  Officials say there is no indication of foul play.

Maisel's car was found near the Charlotte Pier on Monday, and that’s where family members gathered Wednesday for a news conference.

The family issued a statement saying that they are heartbroken, and say at this point they have more questions than answers. They are trying to reconstruct where Maisel had been and when.  Family members say Max was last seen in the vicinity of Charlotte Beach, an area that he had visited for many years.

His family also notes many other visitors are there year-round, including bird watchers with cameras. They are asking anyone who believes they may have seen someone matching Max’s description recently to call 911.
