Demonstrators March Through Downtown Rochester

TWC News

Protestors took to the streets in parts of Rochester on Friday to show solidarity with people who have been marching in Baltimore.

About 70 or so local demonstrators took part in a rally organized by a group called  "B.L.A.C.K, “  which stands for “Building Leadership And Community Knowledge”

The marching in Rochester came on the same day that authorities in Baltimore ruled that the death of Freddie Gray was a homicide, and six police officers were charged as a result.

Rochester’s rally began on the southwest side near the Joseph C. Wilson Foundation Academy and the marchers went through some downtown streets. The protest ended peacefully.

The group in Rochester had organized after the Ferguson incident last August.
