Deadline Nears For Submissions To The 6x6 Art Exhibit

The deadline is approaching for the annual 6x6 fundraiser that is held by the Rochester Contemporary Art Center, also known as “RoCo.“

The deadline to submit artworks is Sunday at 5pm.  The exhibition is now in its ninth year, and people submitting artworks have ranged from local celebrities,  including those in politics, education and the media, to submissions by nationally known artists such as composer Philip Glass.

Each artwork has to be six square inches. They are signed only on the back, and exhibited anonymously.

The works will be offered to the public for $20 each and artists’ names will be revealed after they are purchased. The artworks remain on display through July 17th.

Artists may enter up to 4 pieces and there is no fee to enter.

Submissions will be dropped off at the RoCo gallery at 137 East Avenue both Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5pm.

You can get more info at the RoCo website.
