Rochester, NY – President Obama is nominating Monroe County District Attorney Mike Green to serve as a federal judge in Rochester. Green was recommended by U-S Senator Chuck Schumer in July. If confirmed, Green will sit and hear cases from Monroe and 16 other counties that make up the Western New York district of federal court. Green has served as district attorney since 2004. His latest four-year term expires this year. Prior to becoming District Attorney, Green was Assistant District Attorney for 17 years.
