Crash In Henrietta Causes Serious Injury To A Pedestrian

Monroe County Sheriffs Department

Monroe County Deputies say one person suffered serious injuries after a crash early Saturday morning in Henrietta when a pedestrian was struck by two vehicles.

Deputies say it happened at about 2:45 a.m.  at Bailey Road and John Street.

Authorities say one car struck a pedestrian walking in the road and when that driver, 64 year old Franklin Lew of West Henrietta,  pulled over, a second driver,  20 year old Bridget Avery, also struck the pedestrian identified as 21 year old Christopher Clemens of Bar Harbor Maine, who was lying down on the road, and dragged the  victim a short distance.

Avery  faces a drunk driving charge, and Clemens was taken to Strong Hospital with life threatening injuries.

Avery is from Jackson, Michigan and also has a Henrietta address.  Both Clemens and Avery are RIT students.
