According to a report released this week by the Alzheimer’s Association, there 2.5 times as many women than men who are providing around the clock care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia-related illnesses.
Those caregivers are often immediate family members, but they can often be other relatives or friends. Caretakers can face stresses related to their schedule, career, and financial resources.
