Victor-based Constellation Brands is making a $100,000 donation towards disaster relief efforts in Napa Valley, after a 6.0 magnitude earthquake caused millions of dollars in damage last weekend. The money will go to the Napa Valley Vintners' Community Disaster Relief Fund.
The money will help with temporary housing and other basic needs such as food, water and medical care.
Constellation Brands' CEO Rob Sands says that while his company's facilities in that area of Northern California had only minor damage, many of their neighbors were not as fortunate. Constellation is also encouraging employees and visitors to wineries in that area to donate to area food banks in Napa Valley.
It's estimated the earthquake caused about $300 million worth of damage.
