Victor-based Constellation Brands reported quarterly numbers that beat Wall Street expectations.
The company saw $359 million in earnings for its 2nd quarter, up 19 percent from a year ago.
Sales of just over $2 billion were 17 percent higher than a year ago driven in part by growth in beer sales.
Constellation also raised its profit forecast for the year.
The company also announced it is purchasing Utah-based High West Distillery for about $160 million. That includes a portfolio of high-end American straight whiskeys and other spirits brands.
