Constellation Brands acquires a craft brewing operation in Texas

Locally-based Constellation Brands has acquired a craft brewery in Texas. The Victor company on Tuesday said it is buying Four Corners Brewing, a Dallas-based company founded in 2012 by three longtime friends.

Constellation calls Four Corners a “high-performing, dynamic and bi-cultural (Hispanic and American) brand” which complements Constellation’s existing portfolio.

The current management team and employees in Texas will remain in place. Co-founder George Esquivel said that partnering with Constellation  opens “amazing possibilities” and says they have always intended to share their beers and their story with as many people as possible.

Constellation Brands President and Chief Operating Officer Bill Newlands says that this deal is a compelling opportunity for his company because Four Corners’ “bi-cultural inspired flavors and branding capitalize on one of the hottest trends in beer – Hispanic influenced products.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
