Connections: South Sudan Documentary; Late-Night TV Battles

We preview our colleague's documentary, Schools for South Sudan. Helene Biandudi-Hofer joins us with a special guest, Sebastian Maroundit, to explain the journey from Rochester to Sudan, and how our community is helping a community on the other side of the world.

In the second half-hour, we look at the future of late-night television with Tom Proietti, media scholar in residence at St. John Fisher College. CBS is betting on Stephen Colbert to replace Letterman; NBC chose Jimmy Fallon to replace Jay Leno. Are audiences still watching?

Evan Dawson is the host of "Connections with Evan Dawson." He joined WXXI in January 2014 after working at 13WHAM-TV, where he served as morning news anchor. He was hired as a reporter for 13WHAM-TV in 2003 before being promoted to anchor in 2007.
