First we talk with WXXI’s Michelle Faust to discuss the future of the Affordable Care Act. The Supreme Court is hearing arguments today on whether people who buy insurance through health insurance exchanges are eligible for subsidies. If they aren’t, what does that mean for those who purchased insurance through the New York State of Health marketplace? You can find more Affordable Care Act coverage at our Understanding the Affordable Care Act website.
Then we talk with local writer Rodney Brown. Brown’s biography on Freddie Thomas, Silent Leader, is just out. As my colleague Hélène Biandudi-Hofer discovered on Need To Know, Freddie Thomas made a greater impact on this community than most people realize (he was a research scientist at Kodak & University of Rochester, an inventor, he had a number of patents, he played a role in civil rights legislation, and his home served as a library/community center for city youth).
