Connections: Science Roundtable on Grants

In our Monthly Science Roundtable, we examine the state of science funding in the United States. NPR reports that labs across the country are grappling with a boom-and-bust cycle, and scientists can wait years for grants to be approved. So is the process working? We'll talk to some very experienced local leaders from the University of Rochester about this issue, and about the kinds of work that are, indeed, getting funded:

Rob Clark, Senior VP for Research; Dean of the Hajim School of Engineering & Applied Sciences

Gloria Culver, dean of the School of Arts & Science

Steve Dewhurst, vice dean for research at the School of Medicine and Dentistry; chair of Microbiology & Immunology
