Connections: Protecting Whistleblowers

New rules are designed to protect whistleblowers. But are they working? Bill Lloyd's story suggests they are. The NY Times reported in August that Lloyd is one of the first whistleblowers under new Dodd-Frank provisions to be protected and paid for his reporting (he made $400,000). He outed a scheme by MassMutual that included lying to customers about future payouts. He's joined us to tell his story.

Evan Dawson is the host of "Connections with Evan Dawson." He joined WXXI in January 2014 after working at 13WHAM-TV, where he served as morning news anchor. He was hired as a reporter for 13WHAM-TV in 2003 before being promoted to anchor in 2007.
