First hour: Assessing the GOP field after Trump's NH win
Second hour: Uber, Lyft, and the debate about transportation companies
Donald Trump has won a state. Will he win New York in April? Will he march to the nomination? Were the naysayers wrong? Our panel looks at where the GOP goes next. In studio:
Arnie Rothschild, President and COO of Normal Communications
Jim Bowers, Chair of the Department of Political Science and Legal Studies, St. John Fisher College
Anna Garvey, University of Rochester College Republicans
In our second hour: we examine the debate over Uber and Lyft, and whether it's time for the state to allow them to operate across New York. For now, these transportation providers can only operate in New York City, but advocates say lawmakers should open it up. Opponents say that Uber and Lyft could sink the taxi cab industry, which tends to pay drivers better wages. We'll hear from all sides. Our guests:
Clark Hochgraf, associate professor of electrical engineering technology at RIT
Jai Ramachandran, CEO of Brighton Securities and an Uber enthusiast
Frannie Sobczak, Workers United and the Rochester Taxi Drivers Association
Johnnie Reynolds, Rochester taxi driver
Zubin Soleimany, New York Taxi Workers Alliance
