Coming up on Connections: Tuesday, September 23rd

First hour: Neal Conan; a "prehistory of robots"

Second hour: Pastor Marlowe Washington

We open the hour with a conversation with Neal Conan. Conan is coming to Rochester on Sunday alongside Ken Rudin for their Political Junkie traveling roadshow. We'll talk about his plans for the show, we'll touch on politics, and we'll find out what the popular TOTN host is doing now.

In our second half hour, we welcome RIT's Chip Sheffield, who serves as the Fram Chair in Applied Critical Thinking. We'll also talk to Genevieve Bell of Intel Corporation, who is visiting RIT today. Bell is lecturing on the theme, "Making Life: A Prehistory of Robots and Its Importance for Metacognition, Society, and the Biopolitical Future."

In our second hour, we sit down with pastor Marlowe Washington, a leader in the Rochester community. During the memorial service for Officer Daryl Pierson, Washington was praised for his recent sermons on the value of life. He'll share what he's been saying, and he'll talk about how the community can heal in the wake of Officer Pierson's killing.
