College At Brockport Among Those Under Investigation For Handling Of Sexual Assault Cases

You can add the College at Brockport to the list of  colleges being investigated by the federal government over the handling of sexual assault cases.

The college was notified in February about the investigation of a possible violation of Title IX.

Brockport officials are not releasing other details right now, other than to say it involves a single case that they were notified about recently. The college says it is fully cooperating with the investigation.

According to Huffington Post, as of April 1, the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights was  investigating 106 colleges for their handling of sexual assault cases.

Geneva's Hobart and William Smith Colleges were on the initial list of 55 colleges released last year.
