Clothesline Festival Marks Its 60th Anniversary

mag.rochester.edu

One of Rochester’s oldest festivals, the M&T Bank Clothesline Festival is this weekend, marking its 60th anniversary.

The event at the Memorial Art Gallery on University Avenue is billed as Rochester’s largest and longest-running fine art and crafts festival and it features original artwork by more than 400 New York State artists.

The festival runs 10am to 6pm on Saturday and the hours on Sunday are from 10am to 5pm.

There are shuttle buses from Gleason Works and the East End Garage. You can get more information at the MAG’s website.

Clothesline is the MAG's biggest fundraiser, with artists' entry fees and public admission fees going directly into the gallery's operating budget.

WXXI is a media sponsor of the event, and you can visit our booth near the Goodman St. entrance.

Randy Gorbman is WXXI's director of news and public affairs. Randy manages the day-to-day operations of WXXI News on radio, television, and online.
