Next month, an event designed to bolster employment for city residents and promote opportunities for job seekers will be held at the Staybridge Suites Hotel on Genesee Street.
Officials from the city and the University of Rochester announced details today, saying the event will address the continuing need for employment opportunities, especially for minorities.
The city says the Rochester Employment Training and Career Fair will provide the opportunities and tools that will educate the community on how to find a career with the city of Rochester.
The career fair is the result of several months of collaboration between the city and it's largest employer, the U of R.
Day one will focus on improving job skills, and cover topics like resumes, civil service job applications, tips and strategies.
The second day of the fair will featured more than a dozen employers, including the City of Rochester, U of R, Wegmans, Rochester General Health System and Paychex.
The event runs August 22nd and 23rd.
