Christmas Tree Recycling Is Going On

motherearthnews.com

Now that Christmas is over, a lot of people with natural trees will be looking for ways of disposing of them. A number of area municipalities have Christmas tree recycling programs including Monroe County.

Residents can bring them to any of several locations for recycling free-of charge. This season, the county's Ecopark at 10 Avion Drive will also accept trees, unwanted holiday lights and gift packaging. Trees dropped off at the designated locations may also offer wood chips to residents for use in their yards.

You can go to www.monroecounty.gov/ecopark for more information.

People who live in the City of Rochester can place their trees to the curb on the day of their regularly scheduled pickup or bring the tree to one ofseveral drop-off locations.
