Celebrating Living in the City

City officials are inviting people to "Celebrate City Living."

That's the program formerly known as City Living Sundays.

Mayor Lovely Warren says the program has been revamped, and people can learn about what type of housing is available in various neighborhoods, and why it's great to to move into the city, purchase a home, and raise your family there.

"It's an opportunity for people to come together with realtors, with people that are mortgage brokers, with attorneys and everyone to have a one-stop opportunity to learn about living in the city of Rochester," Warren says.

The premiere sponsor is Five Star Bank, which just announced plans this week to open a branch in downtown Rochester at the former HSBC building.

Senior vice president at Five Star, Charles Guarino, says his company sees great things going on in the city of Rochester.

"As a community bank, our philosophy is grounded in being a part of the communities that we do business in, we live and work in, and we're very pleased to be able to contribute in any way we can," he said.

The Celebrate City Living Housing Expo runs from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, April 16th at City
