Carestream Selected for $150 Million Contract

Rochester-based Carestream is getting a multi-million dollar contract from the federal government to supply picture archiving and communications system products to four U.S. military branches, the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps, as well as federal civilian agencies.

The announcement was made by Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (D-Fairport) who says the company's selection for the contract was helped by the fact they have "always provided exceptional medical imaging services to the Department of Defense, Veterans Administration and other federal partners."

According to Carestream, the contract has a potential value of up to $150 million in purchases of medical image management products and services for government facilities.

The contract includes a five-year base period and one five-year option extending to 2026.

Carestream provides medical and dental imaging, health care information technology and advanced materials for the precision films and electronics markets.
