Business Executives Turn to Meditation to Manage Stress and Improve Focus

According to the National Institutes of Health, about eight percent of adult Americans meditate.

Researchers want to understand more about how meditation, once more associated with spiritual or religious practices, but now practiced in many other settings, may influence our health.

Some Rochester area business leaders have are finding that meditation brings peace into their busy world, quiets their minds, and helps them to think more clearly.

Bullock, director of the Assisi Institute in Irondequoit, helps local executives learn how to meditate.  Van Bortel, owner of several Rochester-area car dealerships, is one of his clients.

The Assisi Institute is hosting an all-day workshop on leadership and meditation on Friday, March 4. You can get more information at www.assisi-institute.org.
