The Ontario County Sheriff's Department has issued a boater's advisory for Canandaigua Lake.
Authorities say the water level on that lake is about one foot below where it should be for early September.
Because of that, boaters may strike the bottom of the lake in some areas near the shore line.
Deputies will continue with marine patrols on Canandaigua Lake this weekend, and officials say that boaters who are in distress or stranded should call 911.
