Bills Ownership Selection Could Come Tuesday

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP)  Two people familiar with the discussion tell The Associated Press that a Buffalo Bills ownership candidate could be selected as early as Tuesday, a day after at least three ownership groups submitted their formal bids.

The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because the sale is being conducted privately.

Buffalo Sabres owners Terry and Kim Pegula were regarded the front-runners entering the bidding process. They were among the groups to submit bids before a deadline Monday, along with New York City real estate mogul Donald Trump and a Toronto group fronted by rocker Jon Bon Jovi, four people told the AP.

The Associated Press is one of the largest and most trusted sources of independent newsgathering, supplying a steady stream of news to its members, international subscribers and commercial customers. AP is neither privately owned nor government-funded; instead, it's a not-for-profit news cooperative owned by its American newspaper and broadcast members.
