Backstage Pass presents Concertmasters William Preucil and Juliana Athayde
Backstage Pass, airing Friday, November 16th at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5/90.3, join host Julia Figueras as she welcomes Concertmasters William Preucil and Juliana Athayde.
Cleveland Orchestra Concertmaster William (Bill) Preucil joins RPO Concertmaster Juliana Athayde for lively conversation and a violin duel on this edition of Backstage Pass with host Julia Figueras. Backstage Pass airs Friday, November 16 at 1 p.m. on Classical 91.5/90.3.
Distinguished Professor of Violin, Bill Preucil was named concertmaster of The Cleveland Orchestra in 1995. Mr. Preucil was on the Eastman School of Music faculty while the Cleveland Quartet was in residence there, and he served as their first violinist from 1989 to 1995.
Juliana Athayde was appointed concertmaster of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra in March 2005. Prior to joining RPO, Ms. Athayde was concertmaster of the Canton and Plymouth Symphonies. For the past five years, she was a member of Michael Stern's IRIS Chamber Orchestra in Memphis.
