Rochester Police arrested a 36-year old woman following an accident that sent a 14-year old boy to Strong Memorial Hospital. Officers say he suffered potentially life-threatening injuries.
In a statement released to WXXI, Lt. Cheryl Findley says the accident was reported at 12:18 am Sunday, on the Ames Street overpass, near Campbell and Wilder Streets in Rochester.
According to Lt. Laura Grande, the woman in custody faces charges of Vehicular Assault. Her name and the name of the teenager in the hospital were not released. Grande says the boy is in critical, but stable condition at Strong.
The police investigation continues.
