Western New York, along with much of the country, is showing improvement in its air quality according to the American Lung Association's 2012 "State of the Air" report.
Michael Seilback is vice president of public policy and communication with the Lung Association.
He says it's the cleanest air they've seen in the 13 years of doing the report.
Seilback says Monroe, Erie and Niagara Counties all had failing grades for ozone last year, but all improved to a grade of "C" this year.
He adds, though, there are efforts in the House to roll back the Clean Air Act, and the report indicates the Clean Air Act works, and cleaner air is making New Yorkers healthier.
