Rochester, NY – A new program has been launched designed to make the seven-county region a better place to live.
The United Way and Rochester Area Community Foundation have teamed up on the effort, starting with a new web site outlining "community indicators."
The site is "ACTRochester.org."
Jennifer Leonard is executive director of the Community Foundation.
Leonard says the site has a wealth of information for everyone from policy makers to parents.
She says community indicators measure the overall health of a community when pulled together.
Leonard says the web site features 170 pages and 650 charts and graphs that put trend information in the hands of every citizen.
Community forums are planned this fall as a follow up to the issues addressed on the web site.
