A crash on 490 westbound near Goodman Street caused a major traffic problem Wednesday afternoon.
At about 1:30 p.m., two vehicles, a car and a Hummer collided, causing serious injuries to three people in the car.
State Police say it appears the driver of the car was traveling in the middle lane of 490 west between the Monroe and Goodman exits when she apparently tried to make an abrupt right turn to exit at Goodman, and collided with the Hummer.
A boy in the back seat of the car suffered critical injuries. Another young person in the car and the driver were also injured.
490 westbound was shut down from 590 to Goodman Street. It was reopened just before 5pm
