If you travel 490 in Rochester you may find some delays over the next couple of weeks. The State Transportation Department says that the left lanes of that highway, in both directions between Alexander Street and Goodman Street are now closed.
That is so construction crews can repair a drainage culvert pipe and also install a foundation for a large, overhead sign structure.
The lane closures will be in place around the clock for the next two weeks, reopening on or about May 16th. The D-O-T advises that drivers allow extra travel time or look for alternate routes during peak travel periods.
