Rochester police say four people were shot Wednesday night on Genesee Street. It happened about 8 p.m. on Genesee near Kirkland Road.
Authorities say it appears none of the injuries are life-threatening. All four victims are from Rochester. They include a 27-year-old man who was seriously injured, along with a 34-year-old man and two 32-year-old men.
The shooting happened near one of the city’s "blue light" cameras. There’s no word yet of any suspects.
The shooting on Genesee happened on the same day that three other people were shot in the city.
On Wednesday afternoon on Fourth Street, a 19-year-old woman and a 17-year-old male suffered non-life-threatening injuries. In a third incident that afternoon, a 26-year-old man was dropped off at Strong Hospital with gunshot wounds, also non-life threatening. It hasn't been determined yet where in the city that man was shot.
