3 Monroe County Health Centers to Take Part in $15 Million in ACA Grants

Three Monroe County and one Yates County health center will take part of $ 15 million in Affordable Care Act funding for New York State.

The grants are part of $295 million in federal funding announced today by Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell. They are intended to help provide new services, longer hours, and to hire new health care providers.

Local recipients include: Rochester Primary Care Network, Unity Hospital, Oak Orchard Community Health Center in Brockport, and Finger Lakes Migrant Health Care in Penn Yan.

In New York State, 58 awards are projected to support 257 jobs and 82 thousand patients.
