24 Positions Cut At Bausch + Lomb

There's word of more layoffs at Bausch + Lomb. The eye care corporation's  new parent company says that 24 people in the customer service department were dismissed on Friday.

A company spokesperson says it is all part of the consolidation that is happening as part of Valeant's acquisition of B + L.

During the summer, Valeant told the state it would cut about 400 jobs locally.

The Canadian company did say previously that they will continue with manufacturing and research and development operations in Rochester, which employs about a thousand people.
