2 People In Macedon Charged With Animal Cruelty

TWC News

Macedon Police have charged 2 people with eleven counts of animal cruelty.

Police say they were called to a residence on Wayneport Road on Sunday night for a report of a loose dog and found multiple dogs locked in a trailer without food, water, or ventilation causing the temperature to be approximately over 100 degrees inside the trailer.

Eleven dogs were seized from the residence and taken to Lollipop Farm. Two of the dogs died.

Police say that most of the animals were emaciated and all were covered in fleas and were forced to live in their own feces and urine.

Officers charged James Hughes and Eleanor Hughes of that address. They were ordered held on bail of $2,500 each pending another court appearance.
