2 Killed In Perinton Motorcycle Crash

TWC News

Monroe County Deputies are releasing more details about an accident in Perinton Monday afternoon that results in the deaths of two people who were on a motorcycle.

Shortly after 12:30, deputies say the motorcycle was westbound on Route 31 and an SUV was going east, waiting to turn onto Valley Creek Road. As the motorcycle approached the intersection, the traffic light began to change.

A witness told authorities it appeared the motorcycle sped up to beat the light. It’s believed the SUV turned left onto Valley Creek Road, and that’s when both vehicles collided.

The male operator of the motorcycle and his female passenger were ejected. The male was pronounced dead at the scene and the passenger, 29 year old Meghan Orbaker of Palmyra was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The motorcycle operator has not been identified yet.

The driver of the SUV had minor injuries and his passenger was not injured. The investigation is still going on.
